Happy Summer!

​Dear Students and Families,
I hope you're enjoying a wonderful summer filled with camps, vacations, time outdoors, and maybe even a good book or two!
I recently returned from my first time teaching at Big Sur Fiddle Camp, where I had the joy of team teaching with my wonderful friend and colleague, Rebecca Stout. Together we taught 15 delightful "Fireflies" (our beginning musicians, ages 4–9), performed at the noon concert at the end of the week, and shared a truly magical experience. Registration opens in February, and I'll be sure to send a reminder then—I can't recommend it highly enough!

In other news, we finally released the new Peach & Spoon album called Hodie Hoe, and were thrilled to perform our set on the Family Stage again at the Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest in May!  One lucky child (Uma) went home with the Little Bear this year, congratulations to you! Nevenka Eastern European Folk Ensemble celebrated it's Golden Anniversary (50 years!) in April with a lovely performance at the Gloria Kaufman Performing Arts Center in Vista del Mar, featuring Bulgarian master performers Tzvetanka and Ivan Varimezovi.

As we wrap up lessons for the season, I'm beginning to prepare the schedule for the 2026–27 school year. My goal is to keep everyone's lesson day and time the same whenever possible, unless you've requested a change. Lessons will resume the week of Labor Day (Monday, September 7). You can always check the studio calendar through the Parent Portal.

Finally, thank you for being such a wonderful part of this studio. It is a privilege to make music with your children each week. If you know another family who might enjoy lessons—whether they're here in Southern California or anywhere else—I would be so grateful if you shared my information with them. Word of mouth has always been the heart of my studio.
